Students will learn how to create and edit bullet slides, use PowerPoint’s drawing tools, incorporate clip art and WordArt, create and enhance organization charts, and create and edit charts by using Microsoft Graph.

Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

This Powerpoint Course is for the student who is completely new to PowerPoint and needs to learn the basics about creating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Students enrolling in this course should understand the basic concepts involved in working with a personal computer (PC). For example, students should be familiar with terms such as computer memory, data files, and program files. Students should also be familiar with the components that make up the PC, including input, output, and storage devices. No prior knowledge of PowerPoint is assumed.

Performance-Based Objectives
  • Open a presentation and view a slide show, explore the PowerPoint window, and examine different presentation views.
  • Create a title and bullet slide, create a slide in Outline view, modify slide text, and check spelling.
  • Experiment with drawing tools, work with text and drawn objects, and enhance drawn objects.
  • Create an organization chart, change organization chart options, create a graph, and edit a column chart.
  • Select a template, change text and bullets in the Slide Master, remove Slide Master objects, and add a footer.
  • Explore slide show options, add transitions and animation to a slide show, run a manual and an automatic slide show, and work with notes.
  • Use the AutoContent Wizard, and save a presentation for Internet viewing and delivery.

    You will create and prepare presentations for delivery on the Web, as well as prepare them for others for review.
