Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 Course Outline
This course is designed for those people who will be responsible for the installation, implementation or maintenance of a FireWall-1 protected site, including systems administrators, security managers and network engineers who are responsible for the management of VPN-1/Firewall-1 Gateway deployments.

This comprehensive course covers the basic steps involved in configuring an Internet firewall and provides hands-on training to manage a FireWall-1 installation. The new capabilities in the Next Generation (NG) version of VPN-1/FireWall-1 are highlighted.

This course meets the requirements for the Check Point Security Administrator (CCSA) NG Certification. A separate examination (not part of the course) is available for those delegates who wish to have formal certification.

Delegates should be able to use basic Internet tools, i.e. Web browsers, FTP and Telnet. They should have a system level knowledge of a Microsoft NT Operating system and should be able to manipulate files and directories and manage processes. Delegates also require knowledge of TCP/IP.
